NOISE IN THE WATERS AT LA MAMA
Marco Martinelli’s Noise in the Waters arrives in New York after an intense national and international tour with the acknowledgement of patronage by Amnesty International and insertion into the project “Face à Face” (which puts on the most interesting contemporary Italian texts translated into French). The English translation by Thomas Simpson, who teaches Italian literature at the Northwestern University of Chicago, was published in 2011 in the online university magazine "California Italian Studies” edited by Albert Ascoli. In 2014 it will be published in book form by Bordighera Press of New York.

HERESY OF HAPPINESS IN NEW YORK
Heresy of Happiness in New York (Eresia della felicità a New York), directed by Marco Martinelli will involve in a workshop teenagers from the Manhattan and Harlem – students from the La Scuola d'Italia Guglielmo Marconi and from Corpus Christi School, in collaboration with IACE – and will conclude with a final event open to the public.
Heresy of Happiness in New York is centred on the non-scuola (non-school), a theatre-educational experience with teenagers. In 2011, as part of the Santarcangelo 41 International Theatre Festival (artistic director Ermanna Montanari), a new passage of this overwhelming wave of the non-scuola was created: Heresy of Happiness, a “choral” workshop with 200 adolescents from all over the world again under Martinelli’s direction.
